About Me
My name is Roseanne Price, but everyone calls me Rosie. Business owner of Panama Purrs Cat Sitting (formally 13 Roses Pet Sitting). I want to use this section to tell you a little about myself so you can get to know the person behind the website. I have always had pets (dogs and cats both) for as long as I can remember. I love dogs dearly, but my true passion is cats. I am 100% a total cat lady. I love them all. From the sweetest cuddliest ones to the hissy feral ones. I understand cats and know that each cat has their own personalities and own set of needs. I just rebranded my business from 13 Roses Pet Sitting to Panama Purrs Cat Sitting. The new name represents my true passion for cats and the work I want to do in the future. I wanted to have a brand where people could see and feel comfortable knowing their cats will get the best care possible while they are away, and not just someone that will leave some food and water out and scoop the litter box. I have been thinking about this change for awhile and I am really excited for this next step. The rebranding is in progress now and will be completed January 1, 2023.
A little background about me.
I was born and raised in Panama City. In 2010 I moved to the Orlando area where I spent the next 11 years, and in March 2021 I moved back home. It feels good to be back. For the past 15 years I have worked at either the prison or jail as a Corrections Officer. It was a decent job. It paid the bills, had good benefits and gave me the security of a steady paycheck (and all the overtime hours I wanted... Or didn't want). It was never my passion, it was just a paycheck and a ticket to a decent retirement. I always said that once I retire, I was going to be a cat sitter. Then, once I quit my job in Orlando to move back to Panama City to be close to family, I thought, why work at a job I hate while waiting to do something I love.
